Network Security Policy –ABC’s corporate network, consisting of registers, workstations, servers, network hardware, and all software is provided for ABC employees, in order to increase corporate productivity and communication. The following policy has been established in order to protect the security of ABC’s corporate network and the data residing on it. Failure to adhere to the following guidelines can be considered malicious intent and may result in a reprimand and/or termination.
Only employees of ABC are permitted to use the devices connected to the network. This includes desktop computers, laptops, cash registers, ISPs (in store computer), and the palm pilot. Only employees of the ABC Information Systems Department are permitted to authorize and install any hardware or software onto the ABC network or any device connected to the network. No employee shall make an attempt to gain unauthorized access to network or system resources.
